Woah, I got my lisence!!  I'm so happy!!  I think the driving dude cut me some slack because he knew that I had already failed once for parallel parking.  He was really nice.  Before he tested me, he talked to me about his daughter.  He asked me what my major was, and I said that it was math.  To this, his response was, "Wow.  Math..."  I added that people said it was silly that I failed the first time because parallel parking involved spacial relations and, because I'm a math major, I should have had that down.  He laughed, and I did, too, because I pretty much blow at that.

Anyway, when I was parallel parking, he totally talked me through it, which really helped, otherwise, I definitely woudl have hit the curb.  ahahahaa.

I drove to the post office...by myself!  So, so rad!

Ok, this packing isn't going to do itself...or will it?  I've never really waited to find out...

My fear is greater than my faith.

Yesteday and today I was in State College with my little sister, brother, their father, his girlfriend, and his mom.  It was quite an experience.  For one, I got to see Kelsey for the first time since December, which was really wonderful.  I missed her a lot.  Also, I got to spend time with Boo, which doesn't happen often, either.  It really hit me how fast they seem to be growing up.  Maybe I've said this before, but I just can't get over the fact that they are real people, now.  I mean, little kids aren't not real people, but they're somewhat amorphus in their personalities.  They have yet to form beliefs and opinions.  Kelsey and Boo, however, are like little people.  I don't even know when this happened.  It just does, I guess.  They've matured enough so that I can talk to them like I'd talk to my friends.  Of course, they are still my siblings, and I'm pretty sure that Boo will always feel the need to hit me in the face and twist my wrists.  hahhaaha, oh, here's to brothers.

I also got to see Mike's family.  When my mom and Mike were together, I saw them on holidays and special occasions, and I'd kind of missed having them in my life.  The reason I was there was to go to Michelle's (Mike's niece) wedding.  I had my doubts about going because I felt that I might feel awkward being there at all, since my mom and Mike are no longer together, and, therefore, I'm not related to anyone there, not even through marriage.  Admittedly, introducing myself as "Michelle's uncle's step-daughter" was weird, but no one through punch into my face or scowled at me, so I guess it wasn't as bad as I had feared it might possibly be.

On the way back home tonight, I was thinking about the passage of time and how, no matter how one spends it, it goes by just the same.  Also, when something really horrible happens, time still goes on, even though it can feel as though you're life has stopped.  I guess the truth is that your life really doesn't stop, and there are still other people around who are depending upon you.  A lot of people forget that and shut down.  Eventually so much time goes by that they just don't know how to start living again.  They are contradictions, progressing through life, but not progressing from the spot they've been all of this time.  For the first time, I really understand why time is the fourth dimension, and I can actually visualize in my head what that means.  Forgive me for having this dork moment.

I'm excited to sleep tonight.  It'll be radical.

she's a rant machine.

So, as it turns out, Philipp's message was not a reference to some computer hacking handbook but really a reference to the religion of Discordia.  I recommend you look into it.  It's a hoot (no lie).

Another cool thing to look into is www.toothpastefordinner.com and nataliedee.com.  Also, marriedtothesea.com is also good.

But, yeah, this Natalie Dee comic pretty much sums up my driving experiences.  It is entitled "It sure is, I'm gonna go tailgate someone."

http://www.nataliedee.com/080606/it-sure-is-im-gonna-go-tailgate-someone.jpg

Seriously.  Although I'm pretty sure that Tinaw is the only person who will truly sympathize with me, I'm going to rant a little about this, anyway.  I don't even have my driver's lisence, yet, and I'm already sick of people tailgating and passing me illegally because (horror of all horrors!)...I'M GOING THE SPEED LIMIT.  Seriously (I cannot use this word enough).  I could see why people tailgated and passed me in non-passing zones when I was going under the speed limit when I was first learning how to drive.  Ok, even though it's illegal, I was cool with it to some extent because, yeah, I really should drive at at least the speed limit.  The thing is, though, I do not drive slower than the speed limit UNLESS I am on a crazy, windy back road, AND no one is behind me.  Other than that, I'm good.  Sometimes, I even (accidentally) speed a little...and by "a little" I mean 5 miles over the speed limit or maybe a little more when I don't see the sign indicating a reduction of the former speed limit.

Anyway, people pass me all the time.  Maybe this happens to me more than most people who go the speed limit because of where I live.  So as not to give out details that would allow for amazing stalker capabilities, I will just say that I live off of a major Rt that passes the mall.  So I guess, even though it's 45 mph up until the mall, where it is 35 mph, people are like, "Woah, a large, relatively straight road.  I guess this means I can just drive like an idiot."  Really, that's NOT what it means, for clarification.  I've been nearly side-swiped because of it.  It's unnerving.  It makes me want to invest in apparation, like they do in Harry Potter.  Even though I'm just a mere muggle, I think that, since I go the speed limit, this would make things easier for everyone who is not Tina (Tina, when I learn to apparate, I'll teach you so that people can drive like idiots without the inconvenience of being behind someone who obeys the law.).  The other day, I was driving 5mph ABOVE the speed limit, and some minivan passes me REGARDLESS (sp who cares???) in a NO PASSING ZONE.  Maybe I'm just a stickler for the rules, but, oh, well.

The reason Tina is mentioned is because she also drives the speed limit.  She is my driving hero.  For some, it is Dick Trickle, renowned racecar driver man, but, for me, it is Tina.

In general, I just want to make this sound every time some jerk recklessly passes me in no-passing zones:  pffffarrrggggmotherfucker.  I usually do, too.  The only thing I need is a megaphone so that I could broadcast the sound to the world.  Maybe I'd make it a little more G-rated, in case youngin's are afoot: pffffarrrrgggggjeez.

Oh.  And.  Thanks to Kyle for listening.  It really, really helped :)

This is all for now.  I think I'll go read.
